We’re proud to announce the appointment of two new tax directors: Stephen Baker, and an internal promotion for BKL, Sam Inkersole.  

Stephen Baker: Employment Taxes Director  

Stephen joined Wilson Wright from PwC. He has over 20 years’ experience advising employers on how to structure and manage their employment tax affairs. Stephen will be growing out a new, specialist area of Employment Taxes which presents an exciting opportunity for new and existing clients.   

His expertise includes employment status, the off-payroll workers’ rules (IR35), PAYE and salary sacrifice.  

Sam Inkersole: Tax Consultancy Director  

Sam has been at BKL since 2015, when he joined as an audit and accounts trainee. He has focused solely on tax consultancy since 2019, developing tax specialisms that include cryptocurrency, M&A activity and family wealth structuring.  

While he was still a manager, Sam won Rising Star at the Tolley’s Taxation Awards and was selected for the Accountancy Age 35 Under 35.  

Stephen and Sam’s appointments are part of significant recent growth in our senior-level technical expertise, with three new tax partners having joined the business in the past month: Susie Mullin, Sehjal Gupta and Luigi Lungarella.
